Welcome to the Sitka School District Technology Department. Our mission is to empower students, educators, and families through innovative, secure, and accessible digital tools that enhance learning and communication across all schools.

We are proud to support a robust 1:1 device initiative, ensuring every student has access to a dedicated learning device—ranging from Windows laptops to iPads—tailored to grade level and instructional needs. Classroom is equipped with high-speed internet, interactive Newline Boards to foster dynamic, multimedia learning experiences. Our district uses PowerSchool as the Student Information System (SIS) and Canvas as the Learning Management System (LMS), enabling seamless access to grades, assignments, and instructional content.

Technology support is provided through a dedicated team of site-based Resource Technology Leaders and district-level IT professionals. These teams manage device deployment, troubleshoot issues, and maintain inventory systems to ensure smooth operations.
